Determine and draw internal force diagrams.
Solution
1. Mark the reactions at the supports

2. Calculate the reactions using the equilibrium equations
\begin{aligned} \\ &\sum{X}=0\\ &H_A=0\\ \\&\sum{M_{A}}=0\\ &6\cdot6\cdot3-15\cdot6-5-V_B\cdot2=0\\ &V_{B}=6.5\ kN\\ \\ &\sum{Y}=0\\ &V_A+V_B+15-6\cdot6=0 \\ &V_{A}=14.5\ kN\\ \\ &spr:\ \sum{M_D}=0\\ &14.5\cdot6-6\cdot6\cdot3-5+6.5\cdot4=0\\&L=P\\ \end{aligned}
3. The internal force diagrams have been drawn (as in the video tutorial) using the method of section views, without saving the equations
